Alaska Peninsula
Whether you’re hunting the beaches or up in the higher country, it just doesn’t get any better than the Alaska Peninsula. You will either be hunting one of our beach camps or one of our higher camps towards the foothills of the mountains.
Alaska Peninsula Weather can be rainy and windy, but when that big boar walks within range it is all worth it.
Western Alaska
Our areas include the stunning Lake Clark Alaska area. Difficulty of these hunts varies. Give me a call to discuss details and let me know if you need help getting in shape for your hunt! ~Bob Summers
The Bear, and a Promising Future
Since we have started operating there we have enjoyed a 9’5” average on our brown bears and every year we usually take 2 to 4 bears that square over 10’. By harvesting the larger boars we have seen the population increase tremendously over the past 10 years. It is not uncommon to see 8-10 bears per day. The Alaska Peninsula is definitely a hunting adventure that every hunter should experience at least once in their lifetime. Abundance of game, vast variety of wildlife and sea life, and the uniqueness of a place that has hardly been touched by man it is an experience beyond words.
Western Alaska
Unalakleet, Alaska – Home of the world’s largest Grizzly Bears. Located just Southeast of Nome, Alaska; along the Norton Sound Coast, these hunts are held in the spring.
Koyukuk National Wildlife Refuge
Our Moose hunts are held in the Koyukuk National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) and Alaska Range. Sheep Hunts are held in August in the breathtaking Alaska Range, 3 hours from Fairbanks. KNWR offers extensive waterways, and transportation will be by boat. Most hunts are on land. Please discuss any disabilities or challenges with us while booking this hunt.
The Alaska Range
Our sheep hunts take place in the beautiful Alaska Range. We fly from Fairbanks by “bush” plane, then take a 3 hour ATV ride to camp. Main camp has a cook cabin, and wall tents with stoves. Spike camps are also used and consist of backpacker tents. This area is prone to heavy rains and river swell. Please discuss recommended gear with us during our booking call.
