Zach grew up in Utah, spending every free chance he got on the mountain. From day 1 in a car seat calling coyotes with dad, to gaining his own passion for hunting, he has pursued his childhood dreams to this day. Zach has spent his whole life hunting for himself as well as helping friends and family on hunts He is a licensed guide in Utah and Alaska, guiding Brown Bear, Dall Sheep, and Caribou. He spent much of his time before the age of 18 being a spotter for various hunters and outfitters. After returning home from a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he chased his childhood dreams of guiding in Alaska. He would tell you it is an experience unable to be found anywhere in the states and truly is an entirely different world of hunting.
During the winter months, Zach attends Utah State University finishing his degree in Wildlife Biology and Fisheries. He also uses this time to guide Mountain Lion, Elk, Mule Deer, Black Bear and Mountain Goat for Hightop Outfitters in Utah. For Zach there is nothing better than being on the highest peak, as far as he can get from civilization. Spending time with his family especially while hunting and riding horses is second to none of his favorite things to do. When he is not hunting you will be sure to find him spending time with family.
